Lexi's Cake

Lexi went to a cake decorating class, this is the cake that she made by herself.  What amazing detail it has! Lexi was very kind and brought it to share with Pod 1. You have a great skill Lexi!! Mrs Johnsen and Miss Moore wish we were as talented as you!

KINDY COMES TO VISIT

On Friday, Hurupaki Kindy came for a visit. It was great seeing the children and adults joining in with our art and choosing activities. Look forward to seeing your all again on your transition visits to school.

 

Welcome to Miss Clarke

We are very lucky in Pod 1 to have Miss Shannon Clarke, a 1st year teaching student, with us for two weeks. She will then be back later in the year for 4 weeks.  Shannon has fitted in extremely well and we love having her with us.

Multi-Level Maths

Each Wednesday morning we work in multi-level groups to solve numeracy problems. During this time we also complete bus stop activities with our group. These are a range of numeracy games, activities and challenges. We have lots of fun!!

Pod 1 Blog Presentation

Today in assembly Amara, Holly, Livi, Dylan B and Dylan I presented Pod 1's blog to the whole school in assembly. They shared some of the posts and read some of their stories. Well done to our brave presenters.

 

 

 

Autumn leaves

Today we went out to look at our beautiful autumn trees, and to see what has been happening to them. The children loved kicking, feeling, lying amongst, and throwing the crunchy colourful leaves. After this we went back and wrote about it.

I like to throw the leaves in the air. I like to kick the leaves up in the air.
