Multi Level Maths and Bus Stop Activities

Here we are completing our Bus Stop activities this week! We had lots of fun and even worked together on our word problem!!

Welcome Back to Term 3!

Welcome back to Term 3! We are so excited to have all of the students and their smiling faces back!! We are also very lucky to have a new teacher Mrs Pam Steeves working with us for the rest of the year, please come in and introduce yourself.  This term we have lots of new children in Pod 1 and we are enjoying getting to know them! 

We are looking forward to doing our unit on Super Science, working on our projects for the Art Auction and lots of other fun things!! 

Construction and design

Last week (Wk10), it was fabulous to see the the different constructions the children created using the large blocks with smaller objects and the foam shapes. A lot of collaboration, discussion, and thought went into the children's designs. They used the following key competencies in their efforts:

• Thinking.

• Relating to others.

• Using language, symbols, and texts.

• Managing self.

• Participating and contributing.

Travis's 1st Day

Last week (Wk 10) Travis joined Pod 1 'proper'. It was so lovely to see him arrive on Thursday morning with his Mum, Dad, and brother Jacob. Welcome to Pod 1 Travis and family. We are pleased to have you join our whanau again.

Whanau Day

Pod One had a wonderful time on Whanau Day. The students really enjoyed learning about and eating the hangi!! They also took part in lots of games and activities such as kite making, story sharing, stick games, string games and building challenges to make waka, pa sites and even a marae. It was wonderful to have so many parents, grandparents, aunties & uncles and friends come along.
