Making Prints with Mrs Mabbitt

We got to learn a new art media last week, we made prints with printing foam from a picture that we had drawn. Once the print was made we used the printing ink and the rollers to make outstanding prints of the night sky with bats.

  

Boat challenge

Today the students were set a challenge to make a boat, which would float, using only paper, skewers, straws, and cellotape. They had a lot of fun and they tried to see who's would float the longest and what modifications they might need next time.

Farewell to Mrs Mabbitt

Today we said our said goodbye to Mrs Mabbit who has been with us this term. The children and staff will really miss her - she has quickly fitted into life in Pod 1 and at Hurupaki School. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Kapa Haka

Being Archaeologists...

Today the Pod 3 group got to be archaeologists and break open their rocks that they made with Mrs Mabbitt last week. We found fossils of dinosaurs inside!!!
