Maths word problem
For this week's multi-level maths problem we had:
Mrs Johnsen made a big beautiful cake which she cut into 5 pieces. She spread 20 strawberries evenly over the cake. How many strawberries were on each piece?
Here is one group solving the problem. They tried a few ways of sharing and persevered until they found the solution. Well done to all of the groups for their problem solving.

Wetland Visit
Today we went to the wetlands. It was muddy and fun. We went over the bridge and saw an old broken bridge. There is deep water there and we saw lily pads. We looked for ducks but couldn't see any. Dylan I saw a big eel. How exciting!

Week 5 Activities
Last week, as part of our rotations, we used the dizzy giddy to help build children's balance and their upper body strength so that they can sit up and sit still at the required times. The children loved using it and even I had a go! It was lots of fun. The children also had a challenge to use paper, plastic bags, plastic sticks, sellotape etc to design something to keep them or a friend dry in the rain. There were some fabulous designs of raincoats and umbrellas but unfortunately we were unable to put them to the test as the sun decide to shine instead.
