Athletics Day November 2016

Thought I would share some of the fabulous writing that my writing group produced today.

I was ready to run. Mrs Barber clapped and Coo[per was in front of me. I ran. I ran really fast.

When Mrs Barber clapped I ran to the end and I came first. It was lots of fun. My Mum cheered for me. I felt happy.

When I jumped over the hurdles I came first and all the children were cheering for the children running. My heart was beating fast as I jumped over the hurdles and I tried hard.

Athletics Term 4

Today Pod 1 took advantage of the beautiful weather to get outside and practise for  next weeks Whole School Athletics. Tuesday 15th is track events and Wednesday 16th is field events. Here are some photos of the children practising hurdles and relays. They did a fantastic job - all in the right lanes and no dropped batons!

Can you please check that your child has a named school sunhat. They can be purchased from the school office.

We hope that you can join us next week for the real events - we'd love to see you all.

LOST HATS AND JUMPERS

Hi Parents, 

We have got lots of children who have lost named hat and jumpers in the past week.  This morning we checked all of the hats and jumpers that children have at school but unfortunately we have not found any of the missing ones.  Please can everyone have a look at home to see if they have any extra uniform items.  We are very hopeful that we can find these items.

Some of the students in Pod One have been working with Mrs Johnsen to develop strategies for being a good friend.  They have created posters and presented them to the class on Friday.  They are now our classroom experts and are working hard as our classroom peer mediators.  Well done girls!!

Fireworks Art

We had lots of fun painting fireworks displays and sprinkling them with glitter on Friday!!
